Oben Rorr

The launch shoot

Oben Electric brought me in to shoot the Rorr electric motorcycle for its launch. There was no studio, so I built one on the floor of their manufacturing warehouse and lit the whole set myself. While I was there, the founders asked for black-and-white headshots for the company website.

A studio on the factory floor

Two octaboxes, a key strobe and a grey backdrop laid over the warehouse floor. I set up and controlled every light on the set.

The founders

Black-and-white portraits for the Oben website, shot on the same set with one hard key light and a dark background.

The former Mr. India

Black-and-white portrait of the founder who was once Mr. India

Between shots, one of the founders pulled out his phone. He used to be Mr. India.

He showed me photos from his bodybuilding days, at his peak, and then stepped onto the set for his own headshot. Decades apart, same grin.
